Patrick joined the Lightengale team in 2014, as a Construction Risk Manager. He has enjoyed a distinguished city government career involved with Chicago construction and housing, culminating in his posting as Deputy Commissioner of Construction Compliance. Patrick reviewed and approved architectural, site and landscaping plans for all single-family and multi-family rehabilitation and new construction projects funded by the City of Chicago to ensure compliance with the Building Code and Zoning Ordinance.
Prior to that appointment, Patrick was the Deputy Commissioner of Construction Administration. His duties included developing and maintaining the comprehensive Construction Tracking Report, which captured, updated and analyzed data pertaining to the city's yearly $85M construction budget, in addition to overseeing all construction activities and field staff personnel for single-family and multi-family housing programs.
In the public sector, Patrick was most recently a Construction Management Consultant for Chicago's Community Investment Corporation, where he was called on to inspect properties, review architectural plans, prepare site inspection reports and project review letters, and conduct construction progress and payout inspections.
Patrick brings a proven ability to work closely with city agencies, businesses and the community as a whole to find solutions to the most ambitious construction and housing challenges.
