Sharnette joined the Lightengale team in February of 2014. Her career began as an Environmental Scientist specializing in hazardous materials management for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Sharnette has since been involved with remediation, infrastructure improvements and real estate development in various capacities.
During the past 8 years, Sharnette has focused on development of affordable housing in the Chicago area, most recently working for the Chicago Housing Authority on the Plan For Transformation. Sharnette was responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement of developers, entitlement process, and construction for the Cabrini Green redevelopment as well as unit acquisitions throughout the City. She worked closely with public officials, residents, businesses, city agencies, and the larger community.

Sharnette is also an Illinois licensed real estate broker.
