Lightengale Group is excited to announce its clients Over the Rainbow Association (OTR) and Interfaith Housing Development Corporation (IHDC) are both Vision Award Winners! The Urban Land Institute held their 5th Annual Vision Award Ceremony on June 1, 2016 to award outstanding projects throughout the Chicagoland area.
The Urban Land Institute chose Over the Rainbow Association’s development Southwick Apartments located in Matteson, Illinois as the winner under the affordable housing category. This project is particularly special given the care the architects (Weese Langley Weese Architects) took to design a building that welcomed the residents in a bright and beautiful building designed to incorporate the earth, grass, and sky.
Interfaith Housing Development Corporation’s new development Lake Street Studios won their Vision Award under the work force housing category. Lake Street Studios was designed by Susan King, Harley Ellis Devereaux, to help promote the independence of the special needs residents. Interfaith was also able to provide on-site supportive services to help maintain the residents’ independence.
