Housing Authority of Christian County (HACC) Receives Approval of its Rental Assistance Demonstration Application, Ready to Move Forward with Two Rehabilitation and Modernization Projects in Taylorville, Illinois
The Housing Authority of Christian County (IL) tasked Lightengale Group to prepare its Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) application, and its approval makes Lightengale Group 4-out-of-4 in successful recent RAD applications on behalf of local government housing authorities. Planning is already underway for revitalization of 139 units of existing affordable housing.
[6/4/2015 – Chicago, IL]Lightengale Group extended its recent string of RAD application victories to a perfect 4-for-4 with the approval on May 8 of the Housing Authority of Christian County’s Rental Assistance Demonstration application. Approval opens the door to new sources of public and private investment in critically needed programs to modernize affordable housing throughout the county.
This most recent RAD application is the launch point for rehabilitation and renovation of two buildings in Taylorville, IL, totaling 139 units of existing affordable housing. Modernization includes using sustainable materials in the construction, energy efficient design and systems, and new Energy Star appliances. Another bonus to the community: no existing residents will be permanently displaced.
